Sixt: Premium mobility provider sets-up its R&D facility in Bengaluru

Bengaluru / Munich, April 25 2018 - The leading international mobility provider Sixt SE has arrived in India. The company with revenues in excess of 2.4bn EUR (2016) has set-up its R&D facility in Bengaluru. Sixt R&D enables technology development with different focus areas and will constantly be working to make vehicle rental, leasing and accompanying services more flexible and comfortable.
Focus areas of the Sixt R&D facility are software services, cloud infrastructure services, data science, mobile app development, product management, project management and quality management.
In the course of the international expansion of Sixt, the R&D facility will be building AI first and highly scalable distributed systems for European and US markets across all Sixt business products like car sharing, ride hailing, MaaS (Mobility as a Service) platform, fleet operations, fleet management platform, logistic management, customer experience, consumer mobile and web applications.
