Mumbai 10th July 2018: TimesPro and GNIMS - Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies inaugurated their very first batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Banking & Financial Services).  The program which commenced on Monday, 2nd July 2018 was graced by presence of the Chief Guest Air Marshal (Retd.) Garud who is the recipient of Vayu Sena Medal and Param Vishist Seva Medal.

At the launch event, the Chief Guest strongly highlighted the need for discipline, courage, commitment and conviction. He mentioned these were some of the essential qualities that are must for every management student.

While Dr. D. Y. Patil, Director of GNIMS, welcomed and engaged new entrants with his short and enriching address, Dr. Milind Dalvi Dean TimesPro, advised the students about the importance of reading. He also stressed on the importance of keeping oneself updated with the dynamic and changing trends in BFSI sector including the new buzz word FinTech.

Explaining the importance of the right first step in Management Education, Dr. Ajit Singh, Director General and mentor of GNIMS, elaborated on how the very first initiative can favourably shape the career of a management professional. Keeping in mind the industry standards and the requirement for thorough professionals, the PGDM program is a cutting-edge program offering an unparalleled advantage to students looking forward to a career in BFSI industry.

TimesPro-GNIMS PGDM

This PGDM (Banking and Financial Services) is a two-year program that has been approved by AICTE. It has TimesPro as the academic and employability partner while the PG diploma shall be conferred by SGPC's GNIMS.

The program which will be delivered by through an industry vetted curriculum vetted by renowned industry practitioners also includes Harvard Business School Case Studies to help students learn from the best. Besides it also combines a perfect blend of theoretical knowledge and practical learning.

The program has a schedule that requires rigorous classroom training wherein students have to go for field visits to various banks in the first year and are exposed to experiential learning through full-time placement opportunities in the second year itself.
